Turtle

by Stephanie Suesan Smith, Ph.D. on April 30, 2012

This turtle wandered up from the pond to the lawn, where it seems to be trying to see over the grass. I haven’t seen a turtle up by the house before, as they tend to stay down where the water is.

I have seen a real turtle once only and I even wanted to have one of my own.. This looks very cute photo and a great shot!

They’re weird aren’t they? A turtle once got lost in my garden two years ago. I wondered where could it possibly came from because my house is far from the lake. Then I saw the kid across our house looking for his pet. We joyfully talked about how the turtle got there by crossing the street without getting hit by a vehicle.

Observe the snapper for a couple of days, paying special attention to any specific route or trails the turtle follows into the water.

They also impose serious risk to people who live near snapping turtle infested areas, especially small children and pets. Removing snapping turtles from a pond or surrounding area is a simple yet painstaking process that requires a good pair of gloves..
