Tree Lizard (Urosaurus ornatus)

by Stephanie Suesan Smith, Ph.D. on January 10, 2011

This tree lizard (Urosaurus ornatus) was on a peach tree in my father’s orchard.  I was very surprised to see him.  He wasn’t wild about seeing me.  He didn’t let me get much of a picture before taking off.  Here is the one clear shot.
