The taming of the shrew

by Stephanie Suesan Smith, Ph.D. on February 27, 2012

My puppy caught this unfortunate shrew this morning. I am not sure what type of shrew it is, as the poor thing was rather thoroughly slobbered on. However, it is from Hunt County, Texas.

Call me crazy, but I always thought that shrews were birds. I guess that I need to spend some more time watching nature documentaries. Did your dog leave the shrew for you as a gift?
