Snowy North Central Texas

by Stephanie Suesan Smith, Ph.D. on January 24, 2011

It does not often snow in North Central Texas where I live, but on the night of the 8th and early 9th of January, it snowed a total of 8 inches.  Further, it stayed cold enough that the snow did not melt until the 15th.  Since we don’t have snow plows or other cold weather equipment, and our machinery is set up for extreme heat, not cold, that caused quite a mess.  I did get a few nice pictures, though.
