Raptors at the Blackland Prairie Raptor Center

by Stephanie Suesan Smith, Ph.D. on January 29, 2012

I do not usually take pictures of captive animals, but went to Eagle Fest in Rains County yesterday. Blackland Prairie Raptor Center had some birds there that, because of injuries or imprinting on humans, could not be released into the wild.  Here are some pictures of the birds they brought.

Very well shoot. I so love to see birds. I thank for those people who cares to preserve and love them. These brids play a big role in our mother earth. We should then protect them. Thank you for sharing those photos. All the best.

Thanks for sharing these Stephanie. They’re all beautiful, but owls have always had a special place in my heart, so that grey horned really hit me.
