Luna Moth

This Luna Moth was on the side of the house three or four years ago.  The green was a really startling neon green.

I love the color of this little bugger! I’ve never seen this type of moth before. Are they found in certain areas/countries?

Well, they are in north central Texas. I am not a moth specialist, so cannot say where their range is, but they are not unusual near me.

This is a great shot, most of the moths in my part of the world are a dull brown/grey color, this little guy is showing them how its done!

Though the moth is a real beauty, I’m more impressed with how you captured this little thing in photo. 🙂 I first thought it was a butterfly.lol
