Lark Hill Countryside

by Stephanie Suesan Smith, Ph.D. on November 15, 2010

This is another photograph from my archives.  It is the Lark Hill artillery range, or part of it, before an artillery day.  We watched demonstrations of repelling from a helicopter, large weapons firing, and a band.  I wanted to be at Stonehenge and the British Museum, but we had to go.  So I took lots of pictures.  At nineteen, my pictures were not as good as they are now, and some of the negatives were damaged because they were stored in nonarchival holders.  Hence the noise.  Still, here some are.

You might take way better pictures now, but these are not half bad. Don’t know about the others, but these still look pretty darn good to me. Larkhill is such a famous place for being a garrison town and a military camp.
