This grows in the Heritage Garden of Hunt County.  I had never seen monkey grass bloom, but they are pretty flowers.

How pretty!! Do you know why they call it monkey grass? I can’t tell!

No, I don’t. The person who first writes the plant or animal up for science gets to name it, and often by the time the public hears about it, the story of the name is lost.

Aww, even the wilted ones are pretty! I love little flowers like this, I would never think to put them in a bouquet or anything but they are still beautiful.
